SPECK Pak Connector
Anderson Power Products introduces its new SPEC Pak Connector. The SPEC Pak (Sealed Power for Environmental Connections) has an environmentally sealed IP67 shell to protect existing APP contacts and housings.
The company’s customer-configured SPEC Pak Connectors may be used anywhere a rugged or waterproof high-power signal and ground interconnection solution is required such as in: mass transportation, off-road vehicles, factory automation, oil and petro-chemical exploration, agricultural equipment and more.
The core technology is Powerpoles. Powerpoles give users extensive options, which may be specified. When Powerpoles are combined within the SPEC Pak, the result is a powerful environmental interconnect for use in a number of demanding applications.
The core APP Powerpole technology is proven reliable and cost-effective. The broad selection of touch safe, color-coded Powerpole houses up to 45 amps, with power, signal and ground contacts and accepts a broad range of wire gauges including #24 to #10 AWG, giving users thousands of flexible design solutions in a single interconnect.

MAC Trailer Offers JOST A440 Magnum Landing Gear
Jost Landing Gear
MAC Trailer Manufacturing of Alliance, Ohio, partners with JOST to have the A440 MAGNUM Landing Gear standard on all MAC trailers. With a gear box filled with an arctic-grade all-weather white grease, the benefit of not having to lubricate the landing gear for five years equates to direct savings in reduced maintenance costs for the owner.
The sealed design of the system keeps water out and keeps water away from the rotating shafts to eliminate internal corrosion problems on the landing gear. The elevating screws are completely encased by a grease tube that lubricates each time the legs are extended or retracted. The two-speed landing gear has a rated lift capacity of 62,500 pounds. PACCAR Introduces the ACRAFIT Anti-Siphon Device
ACRAFIT Anti-Siphon Device
PACCAR Parts introduces the ACRAFIT anti-siphon device that can help heavy-duty truck operators and truck fleets from having their profits siphoned off by fuel thieves.
The ACRAFIT anti-siphon device’s unique, patented design ensures maximum security, easy installation and rapid fueling. The after-market device is installed in the neck of the fuel tank. Its one-piece construction, with openings no larger than a quarter inch, keeps thieves from reaching the diesel fuel with large-diameter siphon tubes.
The ACRAFIT anti-siphon line includes various sizes to fit all major OEM fuel tank applications and comes with a 10-year unlimited mileage warranty.
Some owner-operators and drivers report that in the time it took them to have a break at a rest area or truck stop, thieves managed to pump up to 100 gallons of fuel from their trucks’ fuel tanks. The anti-siphoning device helps prevent fuel theft. For more information, visit www.acrafittruckparts.com.
Valley Introduces Electric Tongue Jack for Trailers
Electric Tongue Jack
Hooking trailers to tow vehicles just got easier with the new Electric Tongue Jack for deluxe models #76057 in white and #76058 in black from Valley.
Designed to reduce the physical exertion associated with manual jacks, the new electric tongue is available in two models. The base model, which fits couplers with a 2-inch opening, comes with a non-telescoping foot that works with a motor to lift the trailer.
The deluxe model is for use on trailers with a 2-1/2-inch coupler opening and includes a manual telescoping foot, which saves on battery life and consumption, extends the life of the motor and eliminates the need to carry a block of wood or other object around to lift the trailer. Simply pull a pin, let the foot collapse down, re-insert the pin and lift the trailer off the ball using the electric motor.
Each of Valley’s Electric Tongue Jacks features a black or white powder coat finish, an aluminum motor housing cover and an LED work light – a benefit over incandescent lighting as it doesn’t drain the battery dead or melt the light lens if accidentally left on. They each come with a handle for optional manual operation.
The jack has an aluminum gear housing and powder-coated, zinc-plated shaft assembly construction and is rated for a total load capacity of 3,500 pounds.

New MAC Bottom Rail Protects Wiring
MAC Bottom Rail
A new MAC extruded aluminum bottom rail has been engineered for all the MVP (MAC Vertical Panel) MACLOCK smooth side dump and transfer trailers. The new rail is of a hollow design providing a weather resistant channel for the installation and wiring of the side lights. This helps prevent maintenance costs stemming from wiring that has gone bad from winter road salt, mud, road-landfill debris and problems associated exposure to the elements. Meritor WABCO Introduces Pan 22 Trailer Air Disc Brake
Meritor WABCO extends its PAN air disc brake family with the introduction of the PAN 22, the first advanced single-piston air disc brake designed for North American Commercial trailers with 22.5-inch wheels and axles rated to 22,000 pounds.
Currently available as a trailer OEM option, the new brake was demonstrated recently. The single piston air disc brake family will be in tractors, trucks and buses, given its compact design and low weight.
The PAN 22 combines best-in-class braking torque output with the low weight and long pad life. The overall low cost of ownership has contributed to the PAN family of brakes registering as one of the most cost-effective air disc brake ranges available.
At 79 pounds including pads, the PAN 22 weighs less than any other air disc brake in its class. It also delivers powerful braking torque performance – up to 24,000 Nm. It has larger, thicker pads than competitive designs, which results in longer pad replacement intervals. |
